This particular short is what we call a Fluidmaster. Most films are edited together with a combination of several different angles, while this scene is one continuous shot. Not only do the actors have to know their lines entirely, but they must also understand the technique of blocking: knowing where the camera is to be throughout the scene so that each action moves the camera.
